Germany Invades Poland-Start of War
From East Prussia, Germany in the north, Silesia and Slovakia in the south, and German units, with more than 2,000 tanks and over 1,000 planes, broke through Polish defense line along the border ina massive attack. Poland was ruined and hectic. This was because Germany wanted expansion in land, especially in the east. Adolf Hitler was the man that led this invasion. -
British Declaration of War on Germany
New Zealand, Great Britain, France, and Australia was a respond to the invasion of Poland since a lot of people got hurt and some died. To take away the neutrality of Denmark and Norway, Germany took over armed defence of both nations, in order to counter British preparations.On April 9 of 1940 at 4:15am, Germany invaded Denmark as part of the Operation "Weseruebung" . It was part of the operation that invaded Norway. Germany was interested in Norway's coastlines because they had submarines so it would win them some more wars and also because of easy transportation. -

Japan and Germany was interested in forming an alliance in the war and also going against the Soviet Union. Hitler cancel the invasion of Britain
Germany thought that Britain's Navy was way too powerful for Germany. Britain's weapons would probably destroy a few defense lines easily. Hitler gave up on trying to win the Battle of Britain. They didn't have much easy acess of the skies of England. For the truth, Hitler didn't really want to conquer the British. Italy invade Greece from Albania
Italy invaded Greece from bases in Albania which Italy had occupied. However, the Greek army drove the Italians back into the Albanian mountains, where the conflict started. Hitler ordered the invasion of Yugoslavia and Greece.The Germans and Italians, supported by Bulgarian and Hungarian units, attacked. The Yugoslav government fled to London, and Greece surrendered. -
The Bombing of Pearl Harbor
The bombing happened after te failure of making an empire for Japan in China. Japan wanted to wipe out the U.S. because the U.S. was a threat of their plans for building empires. The Hawaii warning said they were going to bomb Pearl Harbor, but the Navy didn't believe them so they weren't prepared quick enough for this suprise attack. The U.S. battleships were lined along the east side of Ford Island. Japan stopped attacking because they're admiral Naguma thought they were going to lose. -
Japan occupies Indonesia
The Japanese/Dutch East Indies were occupying Indonesia March 1942 until after the end of War in 1945. The Indonesians had to work for them in hard and harsh ways, but it turns out that they get they're independence in the end. Each country was ruling a country in Asia like Britain to India or Dutch to Indonesia so Japan wanted to do that. They tried to get lot of land and the countries didn't like that so they fought and Indonesia got Independance since no one ruled them after. -
Battle of the Coral Sea
The Battle of the Coral Sea was fought between the Japanese and Allied navies from May 4 through May 8, 1942 in the Coral Sea, about 500 miles northeast of Australia. After oly six months of the Japanese suprise attacks of Pearl Harbor. This battle was fought in the Pacific. The Japanese forces decided to invade Southern New Guinea. The Allies sent bombing warplanes. They both didn't win or lose they just both retreated. -
The Bombing of Heroshima and Nagasaki
After the war of Europe ended, the U.S. called for a surrender from Japan Potsdanm declaration. They threatened Japan with prompt and utter destruction. The Japanese ignored this completely and the U.S. deployed to nuclear bombs. One called "Little Boy" on Heroshima and "Fat Man " on Nagasaki. This also led Indonesia to independence since they weren't working for any other countries.
