  • Invasion of Manchuria

    Japan invaded Manchuria immmeditly following an incident that happened in Manchuria. They occupied Manchuria until the end of World War 2.

  • Hitler becomes Chancellor of Germany

    Hitler was elected Chancellor of Germany because all Germanpeople liked him at the time because he promised to get rid of communisim and get them out of the depression.

  • Munich Pact

    The Munich Pact was an aggrement between Germany, France, and Great Britin. It was so Germany would not invade anymore land but get the small areas Germeny wanted to avoid another war.

  • Kristallnacht

    Kristallnacht was a program built against the Jews. Germany went and invaded many homes and buisness killing jews and capturing Jews sending them to concentration camps.

  • Invasion of Poland

    The invasion of Poland is exactly what it sounds like. Germany broke the Munich Pact and started to take over Poland through brute force.This started World War 2 as many Polish soldiers were killed and since Germany broke the Munich Pact.

  • Battle of Dunkirk

    Germany invaded the city like a blitzkreig. British and France troops would try to save the city and defend it but the German army was just to much and they had to evacuate.

  • Pearl Harbor

    Pearl Harbor is a day that will live in infam. Japan attacked the air base early morning on sunday when everyone was sleeping or at church. The US tryed to fight them off but were not succesfull as it was just to much when they were not prepared. Japan sunk and damaged a majority of our aircraft carriers and battleships.

  • Battaan Death March

    This march was enforced by Japan to US soldiers who surrendered and to Flipino soldiers. They were marched because theyhad surrendered and in Japan if you surrendered you were a disgrace to your Family and should just leave. So JApan viewed it as they could do whatever they wanted to The soldiers since they surrendered.

  • Battle of Midway

    The Battle of Midway was battle in the pacific between the US and Japan. It was fought on the ocean and considered one of the most important battles of the war. The US won as Japan lost four of the aircfart carriers and the US only lost one. Japan also suffered more casulities than the US did.This battle is considered one of the biggest parts of the war for the US.

  • D-Day

    D-Day was the attack on Normandy France towards the end of World War 2. Germany had an idea it was coming but were to crippled to stop it even though we suffered many casulties is was a major turning point. The importance of this is that it helped the allies get some power going towards the ending of the war.

  • Yalta Confrence

    The Yalta confrence was a meeting between the allied powers leaders FDR of America Joseph Stalin of Russia and Winston Churchill of Britin. This was held to discuss waht they would do with war torn Europe post-war. The importance is they knew the was ending and started to plan for the aftermath.

  • Victory in Europe

    This day marks the surrender of Germany and Italy. The importance is that the war is finally over on this continent where there will be no more bombing or fighting in the streets.

  • Bombing of Hiroshima

    This is when the United States drops the atomic bomb on the island of Hiroshima which resulted in many deaths. The reason this is important is it caused Japan to surrender which nden the war in the pacific and ended World War 2 at the cost of many lives.

  • Victory in Japan

    This is the day Japan officaly surrenders. This day ended the War in the Pacific and all of World War 2. Its important because now everyone who felt the rath of the war can start to rebuild.
