After World War 1, the Hungarian Democratic Republic was created by revolution that started in Budapest after the dissolution and break-up of Austria-Hungary at the end of World War I. Another revolution in 1919 marked the end of this state and the creation of a new communist state known as Hungarian Soviet Republic. -

After World War 1, Germany had to reduce their military force, and was blamed for the start of the war. Germany had to pay the damages, Adolf Hitler didn't agree with the treaty of Versailles. Hitler
started to gain men in his military force, even though he wasn't allowed to. -

Germany started World War 2 with the invasion of Poland. Germany disobeyed the treaty because they weren't allowed to build a strong military force, nor were they able to invade other countries. -

The Battle of the Atlantic was the longest continuous military campaign in World War II, running from 1939 to the defeat of Nazi Germany in 1945, and was a major part of the Naval history of World War II. -
Germany Surrenders
After heavy fighting, Soviet forces neared Adolf Hitler's command bunker in central Berlin. On April 30, 1945, Hitler committed suicide. Within days, Berlin fell to the Soviets. German armed forces surrendered unconditionally in the west on May 7 and in the east on May 9, 1945.
