    Accomplishments: They adopted techniques from the Olmecs which helped their building and architecture skills.

    Gupta Empire

    Region: India
    Accomplishments: Made their own money
  • Period: 395 to 1453

    Byzantine Empire

    Region: Europe
    Accomplishments: Constantinople was the richest and most elegant city, so most of its people were very wealthy but a lot of them lived through poverty.
  • Period: 618 to

    Imperial China

    (Start of Tang Dynasty to the end of the Ming Dynasty)
    Region: China
    Accomplishments: They originally used coins, but they ran out so they printed their own paper money. Since they created the compass, overseas trade became more common because you knew where you were going.

    Muslim Empire

    (Start of Rashidun to the end of the Abbasid Caliphate)
    Region: Arabia
    Accomplishments: They sold books, which brought in a lot of money since it was so popular.

    Japan

    (Start of Heian Period to the end of Edo Period)
    Region: East Asia
    Accomplishments: If you were part of the upper class, you lived in nice houses with nice wooden floors, if you were the lower class, you lived in huts with dirt floors.

    Holy Roman Empire

    Region: Europe
    Accomplishment: If your family was wealthy, you lived in huge houses with three floors, with many servants and apprentices. If you were poor, you could live with multiple families with one room for cooking, sleeping, and eating.

    Region: West Africa
    Accomplishments: They traded through the Gold-Salt Trade with a silent barter system which traded many goods.

    Mali

    Region: West Africa
    Accomplishments: Their control in the trade, was gold, which brought in a lot of their wealth.
  • Period: 1428 to 1521

    Aztec

    Region: South America
    Accomplishments: Since they were working for the Tepanecs, they earned land, wealth, and trade.
  • Period: 1438 to 1533

    Inca

    Region: If you were wealthy and had kids, your children would have a good education in geometry, history, and public speaking. However, if you were poor, your children would have no education other than knowing how to do work.
  • Period: 1460 to

    Songhai

    Region: West Africa
    Accomplishments: Their merchants had great success which got them money.
