In the 1900s Argentina had a good government rubbed by a wealthy group of people. It had good exports of beef and grain. This is important because now Argentina could share some of their good with other countries now.

After 1948, the government had a system they already had that expanded racial segregation. It is called the apartheid in other words the separation of races. Under apartheid South African citizens are known by their skin color. Ex: Black,White,Colored (people of mixed ancestry), and Asian. Israel Is Founded
After World War 2 many Jews and Holocaust survivors moved to Israel. After Britain departed from Palestine the Jews claimed independence of Israel. Israel brought Jews from all around the world and Israel is still independence today. (pg.1033 ch.31 section 4) -

In the 1950s farming became somewhat easier. They improved seeds,pesticide,and mechanical equipment like tractors. I think this is important because now we have easier farming skills. We also could receive farmed goods faster. -

During the 1980s AIDS were very popular lots of Africans people had them. AIDS spread fast around Africa. I believe this is important because now people I. Africa have a better understanding of what AIDS is and know how to protect themselves from getting it.

Limiting A Huge Population
In the 1980s China's government had a policy called the one-child policy. The one-child's policy limited urban families one child and rural families two. Some families would have to get an abortion or give their child up for adoption to American or any other families outside of China. China had such a huge population at the time they had to do this. I thinks this was a very sad situation for some families.

Children showed that half the worlds population have suffered with armed conflict, poverty or aids. This doesn't damage the kids but it's also harms the country. In 1989, the Un General Assemby created the Right of the child act. ch 34 pg 1110 -

In the 1990 people wanted to end apartheid and protested it. South African citizens finally convinced the South African president F.W. de Klerk to end apartheid.F.W. de Klerk dropped the ban on the ANC in 1990. (Pg.1049 Ch.32 Sec.2) -

2000 for a huge underwater earthquake happened in the Indian Ocean. More than 160,000 people were killed. Millions were left homeless. Natural disasters always fear people because they cause major destruction and sometimes dealth. ch 34 pg 1107 -
First African American President In the USA
Obama announced he will be running for president in February. Obama wins the presidency and became president on January 20,2009. This changed the world in a good way but had few bumps in the road in the begging. People were surprised that America was getting a African American president they were used of having all white presidents.Overall I believe it is good that America has a African American president.

Sandy Hook Shooting
The Sandy Hook shooting was a shooting that happened in Newton, Connecticut at a elementary school. Adam Lanza was the shooter and shot 20 people from the ages 6 to 7 years old and 6 staff members.The shooting took the world by shock many people were scared and frightened. The family members of the ones who passed were crushed.School should be a safe place for children not a place to be scared of.

Boston Marathon Bombing
The Boston Marathon Bombing is said to be a terrorist attack. It took place at 671-673 Boylston Street Boston, Massachusetts. The bombing killed 3 people and injured around 264 people. Everyone in the United States were heartbroken and surprised that something similar has happened again after 9/11. It didnt stop America from having another marathon the following year.

Driving Under Influence
In 2014 Justin Bieber was arrested on January 23 for driving under influence and drag racing. Driving under the influence isn't okay and neither is drag racing in a residential area or at all.Like other people famous people make mistakes as well.
