Peter westernized so they could be just as modern as Europe. He had other reforms too such as changing the army after a close rebellion, churches, started the first ever newspaper in the country, and even got education to a good standard.

The Thirst estate grew mad but wpuldn't leave until they all signed a constitution for France. Then people stormed the Bastille and killed many people because the groups were in mobs. Battles kept spreading due to fear until they ceased and everyone was able to create a new nation.

    September 17 is when it is celebrated in the US due to it being signed by most of the people who came up with it. They all met it what is known as the 'Convention' to come up what would be listed in it. Though they could pass this ratification if just 9 of the colonies agreed to it, they wanted to wait until all thirteen agreed.

    After the French Reveloution, two parties named the Girondins and the Jacobins started to create violance between the two including mass killings of the people. Many great figures were executed by the guillotine and were done publicly. The end to this terror is said to be when Robespierre was executed.

    How he became emperor of the French is he asked all of them if they would like to make France an empire. With most saying yes, he became Emperor Napoleon I. He wanted to extend his rule to the Americas but he sold it in what became known as the Louisiana Purchase. He created a series of wars and battles until he got exiled and died at the age of 51.

    It brought the end of his era in Eurpoean History. His army was defeated by two more armies from the Seventh Coalition. This was a big hit for him.
