- Many women received punishments for voting illegally including Susan B. Anthony herself. She later went to trial and was fined $1000 but never actually paid it.

Carry Nation and the WCTU
WCTU was founded in Cleveland. This group was formed to stop the selling of alcohol. With a record high of approximately 245,000 by 1911, they became the largest women’s group in the nations history. -
NAWSA Formed
A group that joined with NWSA. Important leaders with that were Lucy Stone and Julia Ward Howe. -
Carrie Chaapman Catt and New NAWSA Tactics
Took over presidency of the group from Susan Anthony. Had 5 things that she focused on about getting equality for all women. -
19th Amendment
At last the 19th amendment gave women the right to vote just as men of all color did. WoooooHooooo
