146 workers(mostly young women) died in the factory fire in New York City. This made ranks grow for the dangerous working coinditions. -

Because not all of the tactics that the NAWSA wanted to complete ended in victories this made some women result in coming up with their own new more radical tactics. Lucy Burns and Alice Paul created their own organization, the congressional union its successor the national womens party -
19th Amentment
congress passed the 19th amendment, meaning women had the right to vote. it was finally radified in august of 1920. This event was exactly 72 years after the seneca falls convention in 1848
