Box Car Racer was a band started by two members of Blink-182 in 2001. It was never a full time thing because of Blink-182 and last until 2003. Tom says it really affected Blink-182 because after he experimented with Box Car Racer his Blink-182 songs were darker. -

Travis Baker Plane Crash
Travis Barker was in a plane accident that killed 4 peoople in Columbia, South Carolina. Barker suffered 2nd and 3rd degree burns on his body and took a year to recover. Tom Delonge stated that the band would not have gotten back together had the plane crash not occurred. -
U2 releases No Line on the Horizon
Tom Delonge says that The Edge who is the guitarist in U2 is a huge influence for him. He said Blink-182's old music was influnced a lot by punk music but now his influences were much different when writing Blink-182's latest album. -
Wishing Well released
