    On the morning of 9/11 , terrorist hijacked 4 airplanes. They crashed two into the World Trade Center in New York. They crashed 1 into the Pentagon and another was headed for the White House. Many people died in one of the worst attacks on the US.

    9 miners were recused after being trapped for three days in the Pennsylvania mine they worked in. They survived in an air pocket in the mine. While in the mine, they couldn't see anything.

    Yankee's pitcher Cory Liddle, who was also a pilot, crashed a plane into a 501 foot building on 72nd street in New York. It is not know why he crashed. 14 firefighters and 4 people were injured. Cory Liddle died shortly after.
