amendment 2. right to bear arms
people can have a gun. people can use their gun. -
ammendment 3. Quartering troops
you dont have to house troops if you dont want to. -
amendment 4. search and seisure
The government can't search your personal belongings -
amendment 5. the rights of accused persons
you can't be tried for the samecrime twice.you can't be put in jail or have property taken away from you unless you go to court. -
amendment 6. the right to a speedy public trial
for all prosecutions you get a quik and public trial.the trial will happen within the state you were prosecuted. -
amendment 7. trial by jury in civil cases
when there is a civil law suit valued over $20 there will be a trial by jury and when tried once can't be tied again. -
ammendment 8. limits to fines and punishments
The government can't make extreeme punishments or bails for aa crime. -

The constitutional rights are not designed to deny other peoples rights. -

amendment 12. elections of executives
Each state votes for the vice president and the president. The winners need two/thirds vote. -
amendment 13. slavery abolished
No more slavery, Congress has the power to enforce this. this law was amended to the constitution because slaves were no longer a good idea to have because president lincon thought so. -
amendment 14. civil rights
all people born in the U.S are citizens. No state can deprive a person of life liberty or property. representatives will be apportioned among the states acording to their population -
amendment 15. right to vote
the citizens of the United States can vote no mader their race, color,or previos servitude. this law was amended to the constitution because it was unfair how only some people could vote and not others. also how people before that couldent vote if they were a different race. -
amendment 16. income tax
Congress can make and collect taxes on all money made. -
amendment 17. direct election of senators
Each state gets two senators that serve for 6 years. -
amendment 18. prohibition
All intoxicating liquors are prohibited this law was amended to the constitution because people thought that alcohol was bad. -
amendment 19. woman suffrage
All genders can vote. this law was amended to the constitution because women were getting mad about not being able to vote so they organized to fight for what most women wanted. -
amendment 20. "lame duck" sessions
Jan. 20 is when we enogerate the president and vice president. Representatives and senators are enogerated Jan. 3. Congress has to assemble at least once a year.If president has to resign between Nov. 4 and Jan. 20 the vice president takes over. -
amendment 21. repeal of prohibition
the 18th amendment to the to the constitution is repealed. intoxicating liquors are no longer ilegal. this law was amended to the constitution because the prohibition was a bad idea and almost everybody was against it and wanted their alcohal back. -
amendment 22. limit on presidential terms
Presidents can't serve more then two terms of service. this didn't apply to the current president. -
amendment 23. voting in the District of Columbia
this amendment makes it so that when voting, the District of Columbia gets electorial collage votes and other votes just like a state of that size. -
amendment 24. abolition of poll taxes
you can still vote if you didn't pay poll tax or other tax's. -
amendment 25. presidential disabilities
if something happens to the president the vice president becomes president. if something happens to the vice president the president nominates sombody else with aproval from both houses. if the president thinks hhe cant do his job anymore then he needs to discharge his powers. -
amendment 26. 18 year old vote
18 years old or older can vote. congress can enforce this law. -
amendment 27. congressional pay
prevents laws affectig congretional salary from taking affect until the begining of the next session of congress
