Marriage
Shakespeare's early marriage also meant that he wouldn't legally be able to complete an apprenticeship. At age eighteen, William married Anne Hathaway, who was twenty-six, and she was pregnant with their first child a year later. On February 2, 1585, their twins Hamnet and Judith were born.
