William was the third son and had 2 older sisters , Joan and Judith as well as three younger brothers, Gilbert, Richard and Edmund. He was baptized three days later on April 26, 1564 at the Holy Trinity Church. On May 13 the colonists decided to settle in Jamestown, which was named after the King of England at the time, King James I.
