WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE´S BIRTH
William Shakespeare was born in Stratford, England, on the 26 of April 1564. He was the third child of eight and the eldest surviving son. -

BAPTISM
William Shakespeare was baptized at Holy Trinity Church in Stratford. -

SCHOOL
At the age of 5 he started going to the King´s New School, a free school about a quarter-mile from his home. He studied Grammar and Latin, as this option was provided by his school. -
May 22, 1582
MARRIAGE
William Shakespeare left school and married Anne Hathaway. Nine months after their marriage they had their first daughter called, Susanna. It is unknown the exact date. -
TWINS
In 1584 they had two twins, son Hamnet and daughter Judith. -
LONDON THEATRE
In 1585 he began a successful career in London as an actor, writer, and part-owner of a playing company called the Lord Chamberlain's Men, later known as the King's Men. -
FIRST PLAY
In this year Shakespeare wrote the first part of Henry VI, his very first play. -
THEATRES CLOSED
London theaters were closed because of a bubonic plague that killed about five percent of the city's residents. Shakespeare used the city´s situation to write poetry. -
VENUS AND ADONIS
Shakespeare published "Venus and Adonis," his first long poem. -
THE RAPE OF LUCRECE
Shakespeare published "The Rape of Lucrece," also dedicated to the Earl of Southampton. -
THEATRES REOPEN
In the spring of 1594, the London theaters reopened to the public. -
HAMNET´S DEATH
In this year, Shakespeare´s son, Hamnet, died at the sge of 11 of unknown causes. Shakespeare and Anne, his wife, buried their son. -
SHAKESPEARE´S NEW HOUSE
Thanks to the money he won working as an actor Shakespeare bought the second-largest house in Stratford. -
SHAKESPEARE´S RECOGNISMENT
Shakespeare became a famous writer with at least lots of plays, including Romeo and Juliet, A Midsummer Night's Dream andThe Merchant of Venice. -
GLOBE THEATRE
The Chamberlain's Men built the Globe, a wooden theater in London. Many of Shakespeare's most famous plays were performed for the first time here. -
HAMLET
As Shakespeare's father died it is believed that his father's death motivated Shakespeare to write Hamlet around this time. -
PUBLICATION OF SHAKESPEARE´S SONNETS
The publisher Thomas Thorpe printed a collection of 154 of Shakespeare's sonnets. -
SHAKESPEARE´S RETURNS TO STRATFORD
Shakespeare left London and moved back to Stratford, where his wife and married daughters were living. -
FINAL PLAYS AND GLOBE THEATRE´S FIRE
Shakespeare composed his final plays in collaboration with John Fletcher. The Globe Theatre caught fire during a performance and burned to the ground. -
BURIAL
Shakespeare was buried in Holy Trinity Church in Stratford, the same church where he was baptized. H -
SHAKESPEARE´S DEATH
William Shakespeare died on his 52 birthday, because of an unknown ilness. -
PUBLICATION OF HIS FIRST FOLIO
John Heminge and Henry Condell, Shakespeare's friends, collected 36 of his plays and published them together in a collection known as the First Folio.
