    During this time the bubonic plague was going around. Judith became ill from this plague and Hamnet contracted the disease from her. Judith survived the illness but sadly Hamnet died due to the bubonic plague being so strong at age 11. He was then buried on August 11 in the churchyard at the Holy Trinity Church at Stratford-Upon-Avon.
