William Golding

    William Golding was born on September 19, 1911, in Newquay United Kingdom. His parents are Mildred Golding and Alec Golding. His childhood raised in a 14th-century house next door to a graveyard. He apparently was a brat he stated.

    The book lord of flies was written by William Golding he wrote this book in 1954 and it was his first novel he had written. He received award some he received are the Tait Black Memorial Prize for Darkness Visible in 1979, and the Booker Prize for Rites of Passage in 1980. In 1983, he was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature. William also had a family that was him and his wife. Golding was engaged to Molly Evans but then broke off and married Ann Brookfield, an analytical chemist.

    William Golding died at the age of 81. He died on June 19, 1993, he died because of heart failure and died at Perranarworthal, near Truro, Cornwall.
