    Common sence was written January 15th, 1776. The author was Thomas Paine. The purpose was to increase the population and futhured the war. It helped the Patriots gain comfidence and more people on their side.

In the first section, the grievences against the King and England are listed. The second section states the colonists effort to appeal some of the king's decisions. The third sections states that the Unitied Colonists are declaring independence. The impact it gave was freedom from Britian.

    The British planned to attack the Americans and they wound up winning the battle. 1. The troop movements took a number of days. 2. George Washington made a great escape. Nathan Hale was a captian for the Americans. He was captured and hanged on September 22, 1776. They realized that they should always have another plan.

One reason why it was a fatal mistake was because the French were waiting for them and then the French attacked. Another reason is because once the French attacked, the British had no where to go. On Oct. 19, 1781 the Americans won the Revolutionary War.
