4 men find the alien, they bring it back, from there the alien escapes and attacks the dogs. -
Tension rises
The thing that was killed starts to imitate the mambers, nobody trusts anybody anymore, tension rises. -
Craziness
After the thing is studied some more, they find out it imitates it's prey, the biologist destroys the vehicles and the plane, nobody can get out, the biologist is locked in the tool shed. -
More, More, More
As the days pass by, more team members are assimilated, more assimilations die, one of the team members kills the dogs and calf(cow), they try to find out who is the alien. -
Finding Out
The doctor makes up a test, but it fails, another member makes a test of his own by heating copper wire and sticking it in the members blood to see if there's a reaction, if there is, that person is the alien. They find out the only way to kill it is by fire. -
Bring it all down
Killing three of the 7members that remain, MacReady, Norris and Bennings head to the biologist in the tool shed to give him the test, the biologist is human. They burn down the rest of the buildings, except for the rec room. -
The End, My Friend!
MacReady, Norris and Bennings go to the biologist, it turns out the thing wasn't dead and assimilated the biologist, the thing has been building an escape device, Macready burns it and destroys the alien along side with the device and tool shed. Norris, Bennings and MacReay wait for the winter to pass in the rec room.
