Updates
In the 1900's it went through some major structural changes to add updates to the building such as electricity and what not. These changes were done by Teddy Roosevelt and then more changes were done by Harry Truman after he took over. -
Executive wing expansion
In 1909 William Taft hired an architect to expand the executive wing resulting in the oval office becoming the work space for the president. -
Movie theater
In 1942 the Cloak room was transformed into a movie theater. (how do they get anything done with all this construction?) -
Internet
In 1992 The internet finally made it to the white house! This happened while George H.W. Bush was in office.
