On June 21, 2000, I was born at Crawford Long Hospital, in Atlanta, Georgia. -
9/11 Attack
Four planes were hijacked on September 11.2001. Two planes flew into the Twin Towers and the third plane hit the pentagon right outside of Washington D. C. The group of men were associated with the Al-Qaeda, and Osama Bin Laden claimed responsibility of the disater. Thousands of people were killed causing a War on Terror.To this day, security in places like airports check everything from luggage to clothes to shoes of mine and many others. -
Youtube was launched
Youtube was first activated on February 14, 2005. The creators offered the public a preview on May 2005. Like many technology startups, Youtube was started as an angel- funded enterprise from a makeshift office in a garage. In April 2006, Sequoia and Artis Management put an additional $8 million into the company which had experinced hugely popular growth within its first few months. Many people still use Youtube including me that now I make my own videos like everyone else. -
Hurricane Katrina
Hurricane Katrina caused unprecedented damages in the U.S. in the Gulf of Mexico. Up to 80% of New Orleans were flooded after the defensive barriers. Engineers struggled to seal three big breaches in the city's system of canals and levees with tons of gravel dumped in place by truck and helicopter. Water and food supplies ran short and sanitary supplies broke down. -
Barack Obama was elected
Barack Obama was elcted November 4,2008. He was the first African American president to be elected. Before he was president, he was a law professor in Illinois. When Obama was reelected on November 7, 2012, I felt he was doing something right. Many African American citizens were excited when Obama was elected/reelected, and so am I. -
Grandfather died
My grandfather died on February 19, 2011. He died at age 67. This was a huge devestation for my family and I. We loved him so very much and we will always keep his memory alive. This will be the second Christmas to come without him. -
Super Bowl
I flew to Indiapolis IN. to watch my Dad, who plays for the New York Giants, as they beat the New England Patriots in Super Bowl 2012. The final score was 21-17. I was very excited and so was my family and to this day we still cherrish this moment like it was yesterday. -
My 12th B-Day
My 12th birthday party/pool party was exciting. All of my friends and family were there to help me celebrate. We had good food and a great time on that day... I also received some really nice gifts from my friends and family. -
White Waters at Summer Camp
Me and my friends from camp traveled and spent the day at White Waters in Marietta. Georgia. We had a very fun and exciting day that I will cherrish and remember forever. -
Hurricane Sandy
Hurricane Sandy hit New York and New Jersey on October 29, 2012. It left people without power, people homeless, and even crippled. Hurricane Sandy killed over 100 people. It was devastating to me because I feel that Hurricane Sandy left some people sad and nothing else to look forward to now that many people have died and everything was destroyed.
