    Coaching for the Queens Volleyball Club and Innisfail Jr Sr High School

    I have coached volleyball for the last 5 years. I help Jeff Anderson coach the Innisfail High School Senior Girls Team for 3 years. I also assistant coached various teams for the CAQVC over the last 5 years.

    I graduated from Innisfail Junior Senior High School in 2013
  • First Day of College

    I started college the September after high school graduation. I chose Red Deer college so I could continue my athletic career as a volleyball player with the Red Deer College Queens.

    Red Deer College Queens are National Champions!
    We traveled to Toronto, Ontario to compete in the CCAA National Championships and won first place. It was the best way to end my first year of college. RDC Kings Volleyball also won Nationals that day, making us the first college in history to have both female and male volleyball teams win Nationals in the same year.

    Second year of college: Won provincials back to back years.

    The RDC Queens traveled to Montreal, Quebec to participate in our second National Championships. We won for the second time in two years, which was just as exciting as the first time!
  • Third Year at RDC

    During my first two years at Red Deer College, my main focus was volleyball. Due to this focus, I took a a slightly lower course load which extended my first two years of college to three. I also was planning to finish my 5 years of volleyball at Red Deer College, which allowed for my extra year of school.
  • KPED Practicum

    In KPED 292 you complete a short practicum. My placement was at St. Patricks Community School in a grade 3 gym class. I was partnered with another girl in the class and we went once a week for 6 weeks. That placement opened my eyes to what it was really like to teach elementary Phys Ed.

    RDC hosted an Aboriginal Perspective Conference. We participated in a blanket ceremony and listened to Martin Brokenleg speak about teaching youth.

    Extended Practicum

    My extended practicum placement is in a grade 8 classroom at Penhold Crossing. The school is grades 6-12. I will be teaching English and Social 8. I helped coach the Senior High Volleyball team during the first semester of extended practicum
