The wall was created in between East and West Germany. The wall was created to keep the Western “fascist” from entering East Germany. The wall separated families and friends so they couldn’t see each other until November 9th when East Germany said they could cross over to West Germany. People brought hammers and pickaxes to break down the wall to see their families again. -
