Middle Ages
Feaudalism was a social and political system where there were kings, lords, knights, and serfs. It protected the people and everyone each had a loyalty to another. The church was the msot important thing in there lives and they believe in faith alone not science or anything else, if got sick they prayed. The middle Ages was pretty gloomy and not a lot of educationa dn a lot of diseases spreading around, also church was the most important. -

King James was catholic and then William and Mary take the thrown- which they signed the bill of rights. Parliament was protestant so wanted a protestant king. Monarchs power is limited by parliament- change to a limited government. Can make laws and taxes to the people, armies only with parliaments consent, not just kings, and rights of citizens to keep arms and have jury trial. -
Enlightenment
In the 18th century in philosophy sparked by scientific revolution philosophers believed that they could reason to understand all of human life including human behavior, best form of government, and they thought they could prove/disprove the existence of god.
