    "Three-man paper"
When Heisenberg started dealing with the problems of spectrum intensities with an electron, he believed that for his theory with they should only utilize observable quantities. Working with Bohr, they were able to develop a matrix algebra. Which was considered one of the first works of quantum mechanics. This theory was in published in November of 1925, see below. Heisenberg , W. (1925). Quantum-Theoretical Reinterpretation of Kinematic and Mechanical Relations.
  • Uncertainty Principle

    Uncertainty Principle
“Über den anschulichen Inhalt der quantentheoretischen Kinematik und Mechanik”, according to Heisenberg in this paper the momentum and position created a level on uncertainty in the principle itself. Because Heisenberg presented such a conclusion of absolutes being impossible, it was a new paradigm, many could not settle well with this. This is what would be called "Copenhagen Interpretation".
  • WWII

    WWII
Heisenberg took a leading role in Germany's nuclear research. His team was unsuccessful in developing a nuclear reactor or atomic bomb. Some called Heisenberg incompetent, others thought of it as a delay in progression due to the situation with the Nazi's. Heisenberg was captured by US Intelligence Agents in 1945 and taking to Britain with other German Scientists.

    Council for Nuclear Reasearch
Heisenberg helped in creating the European Council for Nuclear Research even as he continued his search for a comprehensive quantum field theory.
