Werner Heisenberg was born on the 5th of December, 1901 in Munich Germany. -
Awarded Doctorate in Physics
Heisenberg was a very gifted intellectual surpassing his peers in almost every domain growing up. Heisenberg entered into the University of Munich to study Physics under Arnold Sommerfeld. It was during this time that Werner truly developed his passion for Physics and the pursuit of the unknown. (Gower) -
Co-Invented Matrix Mechanics
After completing his schooling Heisenberg began his career as an assistant to Max Born (Gower). It was during this time that they created the first consistent theory of quantum phenomena. This would be a crucial stepping stone in the worlds further knowledge of quantum physics. -
Awarded the Nobel Prize for Physics
After an incredible set of years exploring the quantum realm of science Werner Heisenberg was recognized by being presented the Nobel prize for Physics (Beyler). Revolution
After his work on the uncertainty principle as well as his huge contributions to the world of quantum physics Werner Heisenberg started a revolution of scientific discovery. Though his work creating the theories that form the basis of quantum physics are extraordinary, it is the scientific revolution which was started afterwards that has the greatest lasting affect on the world of philosophy and science. -
Death
After a long and successful life Werner Heisenberg died at the age of 75.
