    First Five Year- Plan

    It was the plan carried out by Stalin for the rapid industrialization of the Soviet Union. It was to benefit the economy and spread socialism. This impacted the economic sector of the soviet union positively, however, it disrupted the food supply and millions died in a famine known as the Holomodor.
  • Stock Market Crashes

    It resulted in the collapse of the money supply and world trade. Prices fell 12% that day and it was because people purchased large amounts of stock which raised the prices. This impacted the thousands who lost their investments and savings and was the direct result of The Great Depression

    Hitler's Germany

    After the rise of Hitler, he orchestrated both World War II and the Holocaust. This was because he had absolute control of the government and its regulations.

    Second Zino Japanese war

    China began a resistance to the growth of Japanese influence within its borders. When China had been defeated, western powers made further demands to China as well as in China, It also sparked the start of the revolutionary movement against China's Qing dynasty authorities.
  • Pact of Steel

    This was an alliance between the fascist states of Italy, Spain, and Germany. It meant that in the case of a war these states would stand behind each other. Hitler's position improved as a result of this.
  • The Nazi- Soviet Pact

    The non-aggression deal between Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union. It allowed the two countries to divide Poland.

    The Holocaust

    Was the genocide of millions of European Jews, it was fueled by Hitler through historic antisemitism. After losing World War I, Hitler decided to use the Jews as scapegoats to blame. This genocide was the ultimate dehumanization of humans and an atrocity that killed millions.
  • Pearl Harbor

    The Japanese forces launched an unexpected attack on the US Naval Base in Hawaii, Pearl Harbor. This is important because this drove the U.S. into world war II.
  • Postdamn Conference

    The presidents of the United States, the United Kingdom, and the Soviet Union (or the big three) who had destroyed Nazi Germany convened in Potsdam, near Berlin, in what was a pivotal event in determining the new post-World War II balance of power. This left the world largely divided.

    Spanish Civil War

    Shortly after the rise of fascism in Spain, the national front gains the support of the Spanish military and overthrow the government. The nationalists won the war and millions lost their lives. This war led many democratic powers neutral.
