Voyage of the Beagle
On December 27, 1831, Charles Darwin age 22 and his crew set out on the famous voyage aboard the H.M.S. Beagle. This is the beginning of Charles Darwin’s career and the findings he makes on this voyage will change the paradigm forever. -
First Discovery
After recovery from the cholera outbreak that prevented the crew from going ashore, Charles Darwin sets off onto Tenerife Island where he made his first discovery of a white band of shells 45 feet above sea level on the face of a cliff. -
Initial Theories
Darwin had been publishing papers about his findings from his voyage. Nearly seven years after his famous voyage Charles Darwin finally begins making his first theories on the mutations and evolution of animals within the same species. -
Publish Origin of Species
Charles Darwin The Origin of Species was officially published. His ideas on the theory of evolution shifted the entire paradigm of how civilization viewed how humanity came to be. Had it not been for his thorough research his ideas would have not ever been accepted.
