Confessions
John Dean came clean and said that Attorney General John Mitchell ordered the break-in at Watergate. He also said that Nixon knew and took prat in the cover up. But, since Dean had no prof and the Nixon administrate said that it was not true, the senate took weeks to find the truth. -
Tapes
After Nixon refused to give the tapes up a special prosecutor took him to court. The out come was that Nixon had to give up the tapes. -
Another Confession
Alexander Butterflied testified and said Nixon had order that a taping system be installed. It was supposedly going to be used by Nixon after he left office so can could write his memoirs. -
Tapes Let Free
The tapes were obtained. They proved that Nixon ordered the CIA to to stop the FBI investigation on Watergate. -
Job On The Market
Nixon resigned after the threat of either being impeached or being charged with misconduct. This was the First time a president steeped down form office.
