    The Trojan War was caused by the kidnapping of Helen, Helens husband hired kings and soldiers to recover his wife. The Trojan War was a war between the Trojan war and the Greeks. The Trojan war almost won but lost due to the wooden horse they lost. The Greeks left behind a wooden horse and pretended to go home, the Trojans not knowing there were Greek warriors hiding inside of the horse. It was Odysseus idea to build the horse and fill it with Greeks, leading the Greeks to win the Trojan War.

    Odysseus gained a victory by destroying the city of troy and winning the Trojan War. Plans can lead to success that the theme I walked away understanding. I also now understand the meaning behind the trojan horse. The trojan horse is a symbol of victory.

    Odysseus was able to gain control of his men, that shows me how Odysseus can be a leader. The theme I walked away with is being a great leader leads to great result. I also understand what a Lotus Plant is. I also walked away understanding this happened after the Trojan War.

    Cyclopes - (PART 2)- ANALYSIS
    Odysseus lost 6 men, but gained his freedom but escaping the cyclopes. Odysseus lost six men due to his curiosity. The theme of this story is sometimes it's good to keep things unknown. I also learned that Odysseus chose his curiosity over his men he put their lives in risk. Also Odysseus shows his great leadership skills by coming up with a great plan to escape the Cyclopes.

    The Lotus-Eater or the Lotus Plant is not harmful but would make your forget about your hometown and you would never leave the small island. Odyssey has just escape the City Of Troy/Trojan War, coming to a small island. Odyssey has to keep his men focused on getting home after they eat the Lotus Plant. Many of Odyssey’s men ate the plant and lost the desire to go home, but Odyssey was able to get them back together and take them to the Cyclopes island.

    After leaving the island of Lotus-Eaters Odysseus and his men came upon island of Cyclopes. The men wanted to hurry and leave but Odysseus was curious. Due to Odysseus being curious he lost 12 men, the cyclopes ate 12 of Odysseus men. Then Odysseus men was captured and Odysseus didn't kill the cyclopes due to him being the only one can remove the rock to free his men. Odysseus got the cyclopes drunk

Circe transforms his men into pigs. He then forces her to restore his men, but she warns them about Sirens, Scylla, and Charybdis. Then they continued there journey.

    Odysseus lose the chance to make it home because the Odysseus men opened the bag and got a cursed cased upon them. I learned that Odysseus men are just like Odysseus both do things without telling the other one. A theme I've received from this is communication could go a long way I've choose this theme because if Odysseus men talked to Odysseus before opening the bag may be all of this could have been avoided. So I believe this story shows us why communication is key.

    This part of the book shows that Odysseus has self-control. Odysseus also shows humbleness listening to Circe and telling his men to put the beeswax in their ears. I was kinda confused on why Odysseus didn't put beeswax in his ears. The theme I received from this book is Listening can help in the long run.

    Odysseus home is filled with disrespectful suitors. These suitors has disrespected his family, his home and his servants. Odysseus has come back as an old beggar, and no one knows except for his swineherd and his cowherd. Odysseus wife Penelope starts losing hope of Odysseus return so she have the suitors compete for her hand in marriage.     Odysseus shows great leadership in this book, he carefully got the men passed Charybdis and even kept calm when Scylla took his 6 men. Odysseus also show listening can always help because since he listening to Circe his adventure continues. This theme shows being a great listener can get you good outcome. Another theme it gives sometimes you have to lose to win some.

    When Odysseus is about to leave Circe's island, she warns him about the Sirens. Circe gives Odysseus a block of beeswax to stop up the ears of his sailors to avoid them falling prey to the Sirens' call. Odysseus leaves his ears unplugged in order to hear the song, knowing that the song is dangerous. Odysseus still desires to hear the promised secrets of the future. Even hearing Sirens song Odysseus and his remaining men made it safely through.
