  • Japan Attacks Pearl Harbor

    Early in the morning twenty vessels were destroyed along with eight battleships and 300 airplanes they were by Japanese airplanes. Over 2,400 Americans died in the attack and 1,000 were wounded.

    Rosa Parks who is an African American woman, was arrested after not giving up her bus seat to a white person in Montgomery, Alabama. Her arrest starts a bus boycott led by Martin Luther King Jr, and sets the American civil rights movement.

    John F Kennedy is the youngest person to have ever been elected to be president. Kennedy ended up beating Vice President Richard Nixon and he was also the first Catholic to become president.
