Navy SEAL PO1 Neil Roberts was killed in the battle of Takur Ghar, Afghanistan. -
Turbine 33 Shot Down in AFG
Team of 4 Navy SEALs led by Lt Michael Murphy reported TIC in the Konar Valley. A QRF was launched from Bagram AB by MH-47 helicopter to rescue the team. Turbine 33 was shot down by a barrage of RPG fire. 16 lives on the helicopter and three on the ground were lost - the single most deadly day for SOF since Mogadishu and TF Ranger. -
