Jays Treaty diplomatic agreement signed by John Jay that was an attempt to fix disputes between the United States and Great Britain caused by the American Revolution and also the Treaty of Paris of1783. It included the end of America being discriminated by the British and also gave the chance of people from Canda to work in the United States by choice. -

This was a speech giving by first president Washington after his 20 years of presidency in the United States after his retirement. His speech consisted of the United States remaining one whole and also to avoid the possible influence of foreign powers. -

This affair included the crew of leopard abording American ships and attacking and pursuing them also looking for deserters in the Royal Navy. -

The Embargo Act was Jefferson's attempt to avoid war or any conflict between US and the French by cutting off trade all trade between nations in hope to gain respect in the US but ends in a backfire on United States farmers and merchants after that protest was sparked in towns also increased the amount of smuggled good that were brought into the US. -

Impressment of Sailors
Impressment of sailors consisted of Britain's Navy taking over and seizing the ships from US and taking their men and turning them into workers, forcing them to serve in British fleets, which bothered the power of Americans giving resentment to Britain. This is one of the causes of the war of 1812. -
War of 1812 Begins
The restrictions that Britian's war with France brought onto the US worsened the relations between colonies. France and Britain already did not accept the rights of Americas trade with France and Great Britain, Americas ships were punished for attempting to do so. America still attempting to trade angered the French causing them to declare war. -
Tecumseh
Tecumseh was a guy that was a Shawnee warrior and chief who organized a native American confederacy that says that every Indian battle must only be between Indians and all Indians after the battle must reunite so their culture and land can remain theirs and not be changed, stolen or altered. After Tecumseh's death caused by him being shot by Colonel Johnson during the Battle of Thames in 1813 causing a collapse in his Indian confederacy because his followers joined under British rule. -
Hartford Convention
This purpose of the Hartford convention was to have secret meeting attempting to propose or add or change parts of the constitution in 1815. -
Treaty of Ghent
The Treaty of Ghent was a treaty signed by the British Parliament in December that consisted of ending the slave trade and settling all disputes between Great Britain and the United States when it came to trade and territory. The cause of war was not discussed during this treaty because of the conflict that it could cause. Also, a hope to end the war. -
Battle of New Orleans
This was a battle fought after a peace treaty was signed but never fully ratified in January with Andrew Jackson troops defeat of a British invasion. This battle helped with American nationalism and made Jackson considered a hero to Americans.
