The British and the United States had problems between each other because of the the British were attacking the U.S.S. Chesapeake and almost started a war 2 years earlier. Resulting in The United States declared war on the British. -
The Constitution defeats the Guerrimere
The USS Constitution beats the Guerriere off of the coast of Nova Scotia and the battle lasted for only an hour. The Navy successfully wins in a great victory. -
The Battle of Lake Erie
The Americans took over Lake Erie when Oliver Perry was supposed to and The British were Blockading Oliver. The British started running low on food and supplies.Oliver Perry came up with this clever plan which led the British to surrendering. -
The Battle of Thames
General William Henry Harrison led an army of 3,500 people to fight against a group led by Colonel Henry Proctor with about 700 British soldiers and 1,000 Indian troops. The Americans won a very good battle. -
Fort McHenry
The fort became well known and was used for a great amount of protection during the War of 1812 when the British attacked. The British attacked Fort McHenry's ships for about 25 hours straight. All of the Americans were saved and unharmed. -
The Battle of New Orleans
The fights was just a bunch of battles lasting from December 1814- January 1815. A lot of people from all around the globe were in a war against Britain. United States claims

Ghent which also ended the war. -
The Heartfort Convention "New England Considers Secession"
A group meeting with New England Federalists to call states rights. They also tried to make James Madison's Military crew resign. The New England Federalists came to Washington all the way from Hartford to discuss the issue but by the time they got there, the War of 1812 was already over. -
Treaty of Ghent
This treaty ended the War of 1812 between the U.S. and the U.K. It took weeks after the treaty was signed to reach the U.S. so that's why the Battle of New Orleans went on longer than it should have. The U.S. abandoned the reasons for war which was to fight over the land of what is now Canada and for the British to take our ships o British Shores.
