Quine held a firm belief throughout his entire career that scientific knowledge was no different that accessible knowledge from the regular individual. He directly argued that the pseudo sciences played a part in scientific knowledge. (Hylton 2019) This was one of Quines first texts published and combines mathematics and logic in a new light.

Quine dives in his doctrine on ontology. and made "assertions of existence". Quine claims, "To be is to be the value of the variable" and his mathematical logic of ontology relies on this principle. (Willard Van Orman Quine 2022)

In this text Quine argued some significant differences between synthetic and analytic truths. He approached knowledge through a naturalistic view point and sought the meaning of knowledge through this lens. (W. V. Quine Papers 2022) Quine argued throughout most of his career that just because a scientific method is known doesn't mean it cant be questioned. link text

Quine "acknowledges the existence of abstract entities.". Claiming most abstract entities come from conditioning and response to "observable stimuli". Quine rejected the idea that prior idea, belief, or knowledge should be the end all be all when it comes to scientific reasoning. (Willard Van Orman Quine 2022)
