Vladek be a prisoner of War
At beginning, Nazi man threaten to kill him because his gun was warm. The Vladek told him his teammate told him to shoot so the Nazis didn't kill him but to put him in a prisoner of war camp. He learned a lots skills from camp, like Vladek cleaned himself in cold lake and make himself stronger and stonger. Then they went to better camp. Spiegelman's relative save him form the camp. Then he come back home and his mother bring him to his father-in-law's home. -

Wolfe’s uncle Persis had some influence with the Germans in Zawiercie and Vladek think Richieu stayed with Persis will be safer than stayed with himself. So he let Richieu to Zawiercie with Persis. (this decision make Vladek and Anja regret for life) -

Germans killed some of Jews who were leader in the Ghetto. Persis was died. And his neighbor told his wife Tosha the German will come and take them to the Zawiercie. She didn’t want to go to the Zawiercie, so Tosha choosed killed herself and the three children include Richieu. （One of the reasons for the recurrence of Anja depression） -
Anja's parents were caught to the AUSCHWITZ by Nazis
Vladek and were caught by Nazis and then Vladek's cousin help them to escape,but his father-in-law and his mother-in-law were too old to hard disguised. So Vladek's cousin didn't help them to escape, however he took Vladek's father-in-law's value. -
Vldek and Anja were shiped to the concentrtion camp Auschwits.
Nazis put Vladek and Anja in the jail, and then Nazis took them to the camp where was Concentration Auschwitz. They pushed men and women into 2 different directions and Vladek and Anja never saw each other for a long time -
Vladek meets a Catholic priest, who gives him hope when he shows Vladek how lucky his prisoner number is.
Priest gave Vladek hope when he shows Vladek how lucky his prisoner number is. -
Vladek taught Kapo English at Barrack
Vladek gets some favors by giving English lessons to the Polish Kapo. Kapo told him, he will send him to "Quarantin Block" as long as he can. -
