Since Canada had broken off from Great Britain, it was not necessary for them to enter into the war, but Canada still decided to enter into the war after parliament agreed to do so. -
Germany takes over Poland
In no time at all Hitlers troops defeat Polish defenders, and takes full control over the country. -
Canada Declares war on Italy
On June 6th 1940, Italy declared war on France and Great Britain. The national defence minister of Canada Norman Roger was killed in a plane crash that very day. Canadian parliament agreed to going to war against Italy, and they sent their proposal to Mackenzie King to read over. That same day Canada officially declared war on Italy. -

Hitlers troops take over Allied France in only six weeks of fighting. The German troops used mobile operations to swiftly defeat the allied soldiers. France would be under control of the Nazis until 1944 when Allied troops finally liberated the French. -
