Smithsonian On March 10, 1876 Alexander Graham Bell created the first working Bell telephone and completed the first ever successful phone call with his partner Thomas Watson. The invention of the telephone is arguably one of the most impactful inventions ever. People were now able to communicate with each other in real time, using real words while they where not next to each other. -
