Massacre at Kent State University in Kent, Ohio. Police fired 67 rounds over a period of 13 seconds, killing 4 and wounding 9. -
Fall of Saigon
People’s Army of Vietnam and the National Liberation Front of South Vietnam capture Saigon. This event marked the end of the Vietnam War and the start of a period leading to the formal reunification of Vietnam into a socialist republic.
