Vietnam get cuts into two. It gets cut neear the 17th Parallel.

I.C.C.

The International Control Commisson failed to comply with Geneva Agreements. Also, North and South Vietnam did too.

Troops

J.F.K. send 400 American Combat Troops to Vietnam. He sends them because he wants them to advise south Vietnam.
Jan 1, 1962

S.D.S.

Students for Democratic Society holds their first conevntion in Port Huron, Michigan. The first student organization to position against growing war in Vietnam.
Jan 1, 1965

Operation 34A

Operation 34A goes in effect. It includes ARVN commando raids on North Vietnamese coastal installations.

End of War

Nixon announces end of war in Vietnam. He also announces the major goal of U.S. Policy.
Feb 1, 1970

Secrets

Henry Kissinger and Le Duc Tho talk secretly. They talk in Paris.
Jan 1, 1972

Withdrawals

Nixon announces new troop withdrawals. He also reveals secret talk being conducted in North Vietnam.
Jan 1, 1973

Resigns

President Nixon resigns. He resigns because of the WaterGate Scandal.
