    347 to 504 villagers in the southern half of Vietnam were killed by southern vietnamese soldiers and the United States military. The U.S. was fearful of this area being heavily populated by northern Vietnam supporters, the Vietcong.

    The U.S. military invaded Cambodia in hopes of limiting the spread of communism and to track down any Vietcong members that could be there. The American public was not very satisfied with this because it could have started many new conflicts.

    Roughly 2,000 people rallied at Kent State University in protest of the U.S's involvement in the Vietnam War. An estimated 29 guards and officers fired their weapons at the students and four students were shot and nine were injured.
  • Fall of Saigon

    This was the surprise attack that led to the capture of the capital of South Vietnam, Saigon. It ended the Vietnam War in a triumph for Northern Vietnam. Before this occured, North Vietnam had attempted to make multiple deals with the U.S. that were too demanding. This distracted the U.S. as Northern Vietnam triumphed over capturing Saigon
