Protesting ends in Tragedy
4 students were killed and 9 wounded at an all student protest against the war. This happened at Kent State University in Ohio. -
Leaked Information
The New York Times released the history of the US involvement in Vietnam. These were the "Pentagon Papers". -
A New Amendment
The voting age was brought down to age 18 with the ratification of the 26th amendment. -

The last US troops were removed from Vietnam. The came home to various greetings, but overall America was happy to be done.
