  • Lexington

    Lexington
    Redcoats ( British ) reached Lexington, it was five miles away from Concord. 70 Minutemen were at Lexington, the British at first were going to leave, however they heard a gunshot and started firing and 8 Minutemen were killed and ten were hurt. The battle in Lexington only lasted for 15 minutes.
  • Concord

    Concord
    The British arrived at Concord, and they found an empty arsenal ( Collection of weapons ). After the battle they had Lexington the British all line up back to Boston, but it was a mistake for the British because there were about 4,000 Minuteman line up already. The minutemen started shooting from afar and million of Redcoats die and the remaining fled back to Boston.
  • Bunker Hill

    Bunker Hill
    The general Gage felt humiliate, and wanted to strike back. He strike at the Breed hill near the Bunker Hill. Gage send 2,400 soldiers at the field. While the British were coming the Colonies held their fire. While, the smoke clear there were 450 Colonies soldiers that die and 1,000 Redcoats casualties.

    This battle was called Battle of Long Island Washington and his men went but to Boston and he know the British army would be headed to New York. This battle were one of the major battle in the revolution. The British won this battle against the colonies.
  • Trenton

    Washington led 2400 men across the Delaware River. They defeated a militia of Hessian in a surprise attack in Trenton.
  • Philadelphia

    Philadelphia
    This was called the battle Brandy Wine. The British ended up regrouping after the colonist attack. They captured the American capital at Philadelphia.
  • Saratoga

    Saratoga
    Americans surrounded Burgoyne and he surrendered. Also the French signed an alliance with the Americans.
  • Valley Forge

    Valley Forge
    Low on food and supplies Washington and his army fought to stay alive in a winter camp. The Americans troops had come across Starvation, diseases, malnutrition, and exposure which killed many troops by the end.
  • Marquis De Lafayette

    He was a French Aristocrat who join the revolution. He was very loyal to Washington. His first Battle at Brandy wine. In Brandy wine he was hurt and the army was force to retreat.
  • Yorktown

    The British camped out in Yorktown. The British ended up surrendering in Yorktown.
  • Treaty of Paris

    Treaty of Paris
    American signed the Treaty of Paris which confirmed U.S. independence.
