Battle at Lexington
British troops were marching towards Lexington when Paul Revere warned the patriots' militia and 70 armed men were waiting for the British. Only a few volleys were fired with 8 patriots dead, 10 wounded, and only one man dead for the Britsh. The British started marching to Concord afterwards. -
Battle at Concord
After the British fought at Lexington they started marching to Concord. Paul Revere was captured so he wasn't able to warn Concord though someone else did. The citizens there were able to hide their guns from the British so the Britsh set fire to a couple buildings causing the citizens of Concord to fire on the British. -

It lasted from 1775-1783. It was the war that gained america their freedom from Britain. -

a bunch of bills were passed in september. with these bills it solved against the northern free states and southern slave states. -
John Brown's Raid
During the evening John Brown and some supporters led a raid on Harper's Ferry. No slaves came to join them and he eventually was killed when soldiers arrived. -
Formation of the Confederate States of America
Lincoln becoming President angred the southern states so they formed a new nation, the Confederate States of America. They would go to war with the United States of America and eventually join the Union again. -
The election of 1860
the northern and southern could not agree on a canidate. a new polictical party emerged. Lincoln became President and the south succeeded. -
Kansas becomes a state of the USA!
Kansas was granted statehood on 1/29/61 and was the 34th state of the United States of America. In the civil war Kansas would be a free state. -
Attack on Fort Sumter
On April 12th the Confederate States of America started the Civil War by firing on Fort Sumter with cannons. No one was killed though there was damage to the fort. The fort eventually surrendered. -
7 Days Battle
On June 26, 1862 Robert E Lee started a bunch of short battles or clashes known as the 7 Days Battle. It forced the Union troops to retreat and getting them away from Richmond. -

the bloodest day of american history. it was in Sharpsburg, Maryland. George McClellan's troop attacked Robert E. Lees' troop. it was a major battle in the american civil war. it lasted up to September 18 1862 -

Emancipation proclamtion
Lincoln wrote the emancipation proclamtion. it stated that all slaves in the united states should be freed. it only applied to states that seceded from the union, leaving slavery untouched in the loyal border states. -
Siege of Vicksburg
General Grant's troops began the siege of Vicksburg during Mid-May 1863. They cut off the city and shelled it constantly, People inside of Vicksburg ran out of food due to this and were forced to eat rats, dogs, and rats. -
The Battle of Gettysburg
The Battle of Gettysburg began on July 1, 1863 and lasted till July 3rd. A group of Union and Confederate troops clashed while both were buying supplies. The Union eventually took charge of Little Round Top and the battle ended with Pickett's Charge (12,500 confederates charged up the hill though lost humiliatingly) -

General Robert E Lee surrendered to Ulysses S Grant which not only ended the Civil War though reunited the United States of America. -
14th amendment
granted citizenship to all people born or nutralized in the untied states. which aslo freed some slaves. it greatly expanded the protection of civil rights to all americans and is cited in more litigation than any other amendment. -
15 amendment
gives people rights of citizens of the untied states to vote and cant be denied by the united states or any state on account of race, color, or previous condition servitude.
