Russian-Japanese War -The First Strike
The war begins with with Japan attacking Russia and invading Korea in February of 1904. The invasion of Korea can be reflected back the the Washington Naval Conference where the Pacific spots of interest were discussed. -
Battle of Mukden
The Battle of Mukden was one of the biggest land battles fought before WWI and one of the most important battles in the Russian-Japanese War. This battle took place from February 20th of 1905 to March 10th 1905 in Mkden near Manchuria. -

Russo-Japanese War Ends
The Russo-Japanese War was formally ended by TheTreaty of Portsmouth. The Treaty of Portsmouth was discussed in August of 1905 in Portsmouth, New Hampshire and the finally agreement was signed on September 5th, 1905. The final agreement gave Japan the right to be in south Manchuria and Korea andf it gave the southern half of Sakhalin to Japan. -
Eulsa Treaty (Japan-Korea Protectorate Treaty)
This treaty between Japan and Korea revoked Koreas diplomatic freedom and it put Korea under Japan's control. -

Japan-Korea Annexation Treaty
This treaty was a second part to the 1905 treaty, but in the Annexation Treaty, Japan foramlly annexed Korea. THis means that Korea was under Japan's control 100%. This treaty also offically started the Japanese power in Korea. -
Washington Naval Conference
The Washington Naval Conferene was a conference held in Washington where multiple countries that had interests in the Pacific all came together. These nine nations were the United States, Japan, China, France, Britain, Italy, Belgium, Netherlands, and Portugal. They all wanted to seize territories areas such as Taiwan and Korea. -
Nine Power Treaty
The Nine Power Treaty is a treaty that gave China territorial integrity due to the Open Door Policy. The Nine Power treaty was signed by the nine nations in a second part of the Washington Naval Conference. -
Black Dragon Society
The civilans formed extremist patriotic organizations like the Black Dragon Society. Its goal was to support efforts to keep the Russian Empire out of Japan. -
