Summer
Valerie worked as a lifeguard at her local public pool. Here she had become certified in CPR and First Aid. She also taught swimming lessons and was the coach of the swim team -
High School
Valerie later joined a student organization where she helped create community services projects and fundraisers. This experience helped her develop her organization and ability to work with others. This involvement allowed to attend leadership classes that she enjoyed -
College
When Valerie went to college, she decided to pursue a degree in athletic training. With this training she was able to to participate in intramural sports and used her fundraising experiences to collect money for juvenile athletic foundations -
Life After College
After college, Valerie began searching for jobs. Everything that she has done from babysitting to getting her degree in athletic training, Valerie decided to become a certified massage therapist -
Life After College
Valerie started a family, once she had her 2nd child she went from working full-time to part-time work to becoming a stay at home mom. But with her massage therapy certification allowed her to g back to having a flexible, part-time schedule. 5 years later, both children are in school and she is ready to back to full-time. She found an amazing job with a university sports team, this was her dream job.
