  • The French and Indian War

    The French and Indian War
    The French and Indian war was a 9 year war fought between the British and the French with the American Indians over North American land.Some key moments in the war included the battle of Fort Oswego which gave the French a good head start over the British in the war. And three years later the British finally take Montreal from the French after many prior defeats. The treaty of Paris marked the end of the French and Indian war with the French surrendering land to Spain and England.

    The Boston Tea Party
    As a result of the British placing heavy taxes on American colonists to help recover from the French and Indian war. The Sons of Liberty dressed as Indians and dumped British tea off 3 British trade ships at the Boston harbor. The British soon closed down the harbor to close down trade in Boston.

    The Battle of Lexington and Concord
    The first battle of the American revolution. The British troops found out that American colonists were stashing powder and weapons at concord. And they soon confronted the colonists and suffered a defeat. The British fled back to Boston and informed England to send more troops over to America.

Many of their ranks were lost through the winter due to disease suck as smallpox and fever. but they were soon prepared for the wars ahead.
