IBM PC with floppy disk drive
The first IBM PC was introduced in 1981. It was available with two floppy drives. Users typically loaded an application in one drive and stored data on a diskette in the other. 5.25-inch floppy discs were the diskettes used. This was the kind of computer I used when I had Computer classes back then.

    3.5" floppy disks were used
Since the 3½-inch disk was smaller, had a higher capacity and provided better protection from dirt and other environmental risks with its rigid case, we started using these disks for our school assignments.

    World Wide Web became popular
Tim Berners-Lee, a British scientist, invented the World Wide Web (WWW) in 1989, while working at CERN. Later in 1993, CERN made the Web protocol and code available royalty free. The Web's popularity grew rapidly as thousands of websites sprang up in less than just a year. We started to search for information online for assignments.

The iMac G3, originally released as the iMac, is a series of Macintosh personal computers that Apple Computer sold from 1998 to 2003. I remember walking into the school computer lab and saw these guys in a slew of colors with flavor names. The iMac G3 was translucent and showed off the electronics underneath, which was a tech design trend at the time.
