    This act enabled the president to send supplies, equipment and weapons to any country whose struggle against the Axis assisted U.S. defense. The US leased over 1 billion dollars of aid to the British. Who had lost 11 destroyers with in a little over a week.

    December 7 1941, A day that will live in infamy. This was the day Japanese planes bomb the US Pacific fleet to try to make them incapable to intervene. The Japanese wanted to get rid of the US Fleet so they could rule the pacific ocean uncontested.

The Japanese mobilized the largest fleet for one battle in the whole war consisting of 7 battleships, 11 heavy cruisers, and 19 destroyers.

    The first atomic bomb was droped on Hiroshima on August 6, 1945. The devestating power of the atomic bomb leveled the city and killed about 120,000 people. The US droped a second atomic bomb on Nagasaki killing 80,000 people. Shortly after the Japanese surrendered.
