Appeasment
This was an act of giving into an enemies demands is hope of avoiding other conflicts, so this helped in WW2 that there wouldn't be much wars, but they did have to follow enemies rules. In 1938 Hitler demanded rules and he got British and France to agree to his demands in hopes to avoid war. -
Munich Conference
In the conference France, Germany, Britain, and Italy made a plan to end all wars and to have Germany to eave other countries alone. The feedback they got was not good, they didn't like how to end all wars was just over a conference. Hitler said in the conference that he wanted all Germans to unite with Germany. Overall this conference was significant because it was planned to have peace. -
Strategic bombing
This was a technique that was invented by the U.S which was a 2 dimensional dummy tank that tricked German troops. This technique was significant in WW2 because i aimed to destroy enemies ability to fight in war. It strikes at enemies vital supplies and industries that made weapons and artillery. It was an attack from the air and it also destroyed enemies ability to transport weapons and materials -

Western Desert Campaign
This campaign took place in the deserts of of Egypt and Libya. It first started with the Italian invasion and it was led by Juan Manuel de Rosas in Argentina against the indigenous people. Axis forces were forced to retire to where they started. Its significance was that it was only a land based fight. -

This battles significance prevented Germany from invading Britain no more. It was a military campaign of the 2 world wars. The Royal air force defended the UK but this was Germanys attempt to destroy the Royal air force to pave way to invade Britain and have Germany gain superiority over Royal air force -

Battle of Moscow
This was 2 period battle. They also used strategic fighting as a strategy to win the battle. It was also a military campaign. Hitlers group attacked Moscow, its capital, and its largest city of the Soviet Union. Hitler had an all out attack. It had 3 defensive units- deploying new reserve armies, bringing troops from Siberian and far eastern military districts. -
Japanese Invasion of China
This was divided into 3 phases- rapid Japan advance, virtual stalemate and final period when allied counterattacks. It was mostly a dispute between China and Japan that later turned into a battle. Japan got involved in the war by signing the tripartite. -
Battle of Coral Sea
This event was important because it was the fist navel battle. It was an aircraft battle that Japan was successful at and they were also successful at all their other campaigns in the pacific. The strike force sank a lot of ships. This was significant in WW2 because it stopped Japanese advancement. -
Island Hopping
Island Hopping was establishing a line of overlapping island bases. This was important to WW2 because this was an easy way to capture certain key islands, it allowed countries to make weapons much more faster. Also american forces took control of many isolated Japan outposts. After pearl harbor attack US used this strategy and recovered from the attack. Countries used this to take Guam and Saipan. -
Women in the War
When US needed more people to work in the war they asked women to help and the reply was amazing more than 19 million women joined. This was significant to WW2 because while the men went and fought the women stayed and worked to produce more weapons and war vehicles. They had comprised 15% of labor force producing such durable goods and weapons with drastic increasing. But it turned out that they only needed the women in times of crisis and not forever. -

Invasion of Italy
Troops and vehicles were bombarded with firing during the invasion of mainland Italy at Salerno. This helped people in WW2 because they used a net across Italian peninsula while Britain chased Germans into it from the south. Presence of allied troops would help allies with invasion of Normandy. The outcome was that German immediately seized Italy. -
D-day
D-day was Hilers refusal to surrender to allies. British and Americn troops showed freedom to North Africa and pressed on into Italy. The English chanel ws free of Nazi submarines. This helped in WW2 because American and British planes bombed German centers. Americans, British and French were all racing the Soviets to Berlin but encountered Nazi horrors. This event is important because the outcome was that on May 8th 1945 German surrendered. -
Kamikaze
This was a Japan aircraft that killed 372 people and wounded 264. This was significant to Japan in WW2 because this aircraft was loaded with explosives and made a suicidal crash on enemy target. One of the outcomes was that this sank the first US warship. This damaged more than 300 ships.
