    the french and indian war was a war fought between the french and the british with the indians helping the french with this war while the war went on britain had to get involved while it starts because of the different types of people thought about the land. 1754-1763

    In the end of the war the british won the war. When the war was finished the british claimed all the territory from the french and indians. Even tho they won they were in alot of debt

    The royal proclamation of 1763 was a document that was issued after the war. This document was made to forbid anyone to settle more in the west as payment for the war. This made the colonist angry and made them felt that all there hardship was for nothing and for only the kings personal gain.

    The stamp act is one of the ways that king George could make money to repay for the french and indian war. This was a way for him to tax the colonist. This was a breaking point for them as what they do later on to get back at king George.

    Soldiers come to the colonist. The soldiers go into the country and live there with the people. when the people had enough the redcoats shoot at unarmed people dubbing it the boston massacre.

    The Boston tea party was event that took place due to the unfair taxes they received. people disguised as indians board the ship and threw tea into the sea. This was a message for the king to tell him that they were not going to take it anymore and be there own person.

  • March 23, 1775: Patrick Henry’s “Give me liberty or give me death” speech

    Convinced that war with Great Britain was inevitable, Virginian Patrick Henry defended strong resolutions for equipping the Virginia militia to fight against the British in a fiery speech in a Richmond church with the famous words, “I know not what course others may take, but as for me, give me liberty or give me death!”

    as the british was coming paul had to ride on the back of a horse to warn many that the british was coming.

    when the colonies wanted to be there own government and so thomas jefferson wrote the declaration of independence.
  • December 25–26, 1776: Washington crosses the Delaware

    gorge washington crosses the river. this was used as a tactical advantage and so free people and to surprise the Hessian garrison at Trenton at dawn.
  • September–October 1781: Siege of Yorktown

    after winning at the court house lord carlwillis entered vergina to join the british forces to establish a base. they place yorktown under siege and beating over 7000 men.
  • September 3, 1783: Treaty of Paris ends the war

    September 3, 1783: Treaty of Paris ends the war
    this was a mark to show the war has ended. this made the king to give up on trying to take them away from freedom and now with treaty they could get back any prisoner of war and live in peace.
